Invited Guests in the Lives of Families: Facilitating Positive Parent-Child Interaction

Description

This seminar is one of the Spring Seminar's offered through the IL Association for Infant Mental Health. This workshop, offered in southern IL, will focus on best practices in parenting education programs that support the parent-child relationship and, therefore, positive child outcomes. The connection between child development, parenting behaviors, and frameworks such as the developmental parenting approach will be shared. Participants will explore strategies for facilitating positive parent-child interaction and discover their own strengths and preferences. This workshop is appropriate for all professionals working with children birth to age 3 in early intervention, home visiting, and other early childhood programs.
