This workshop is only offered to a limited number of Credentialed Early Intervention Providers serving within the Child & Family Connections 21 counties (Madison, Monroe, Randolph, & St Clair). We are looking for a few early intervention providers in each county who would like to assist with Child Find activities in partnership with Child & Family Connections 21. The Ages & Stages Questionnaire 3 (ASQ3) is a developmental screening tool that can be administered in 15-20 minutes and scored in under 5 minutes with parents and child care providers to identify potential developmental delays. This workshop will provide an overview of the ASQ3, video footage of an ASQ3 being administered and scored, practice with the questionnaires and opportunities to dialogue about sharing results utilizing a variety of methods. Informal hearing and vision screening will also be covered, along with CFC 21 policies and procedures for developmental screenings for Child Find purposes.
Please note that if asked to complete a developmental screening, it is on your own time. Screening is not a reimbursable service within Early Intervention but is a part of child find efforts to ensure that all eligible infants & toddlers are informed about the IL Early Intervention System.
