Domestic violence affects the lives of millions of people each year, including infants and young children who are exposed to violence between adults in their homes. Domestic violence places children at risk physically, emotionally and developmentally. This seminar explores the effects of domestic violence exposure on infants and young children. We will examine victims perpetrators and child witnesses of domestic violence through the lenses of trauma, the implications for intervetion and clinical complexities of infant mental health intervention.
