Making Play Accessible provides a framework for understanding the needs of diverse learners, and prepares participants to identify common barriers to play. The workshop will present practical strategies for adapting toys and materials in order to make them more accessible to children with special needs. The session will explore these strategies through lecture and hands-on/minds-on activities. Participants will work together in small groups, learning together how to make adaptations with their newly acquired skills.

Participants will be able to:

-adapt toys and other materials for children with special needs
-understand the needs of diverse learners
