Helping keep children with special needs safe

Description

ChicagoCAC will honor Child Abuse Prevention Month with a series of several trainings.This session will educate parents and community members about keeping children with disabilities safe from sexual abuse. This training will cover:

-talking to children to reduce vulnerability to sexual abuse
-protecting children from abuse in program settings
-creating family safety plans to prevent sexual abuse
-identifying behaviors in adults, teens and children that may put them at risk of sexually abusing children
-Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center’s role
