Why Should Therapists Working with Young Children Who have Hearing Loss Address Executive Function

Description

This session will discuss executive function development and delay as related to children (birth through high school) with a hearing loss. Discussion includes definition of executive functions, examples of typical development of executive functions, effects of pre-lingual deafness on the development of executive functions and basic examples of activities to address development of executive functions. A list of supporting research articles is provided.
