Who are we, what do we do and how can we empower you

Description

How can you provide unbiased support and resources to families without staying up all night surfing the net to find them? Where do you go to connect them with events and other families especially when this child may be the only one in the school with hearing loss? We will be sharing several organizations available to families and professionals that you can rely on to provide unbiased support and information. The Children & Hearing Loss notebook will also be provided FREE to each participant.

As a provider it’s impossible to know everything about raising a child with hearing loss. However, who can you trust to guide you with resources and unbiased support for the families you work with? Our organizations have been providing information and tools such as the Children & Hearing Loss notebook to families and professionals over the past decade. However, within the past few years we have branched out to include one on one support, family events, monthly webinars and so much more. This presentation is meant to share with professionals what each organization does and how to refer families to us for more in-depth support. Giving professionals the keys they need to support families without having to know every facet of raising a child with hearing loss. The notebook will be given to each participant so that they will have a sample to show families so they can request their own FREE copy.
The notebook touches on each part of raising a child with hearing loss from learning more about hearing loss to deaf culture.
