Description |
This presentation will discuss the importance of “setting the stage early” for future Literacy success. Books are introduced to children at a very young age - but how we engage the Birth-3 child lays a foundation for Literacy. Topics discussed will be:
What processes and skills are pre-requisites for future reading?
What can families do to promote literacy in the Birth-3 Child?
What are the earliest red flags that may indicate future difficulties in Reading?
What is the role of the SLP and Family in strengthening these underlying processes in the young, developing child?
