Everything You Need to Know about a Baby's Mouth for Good Feeding, Speech, and Mouth Development

Description

This course teaches about the structures and functions of a newborn baby’s and young infant’s mouth that can affect the life-long processes of feeding and speech. Most babies are born with good mouth development, but many problems can arise beginning in the first weeks of life. These problems usually “sneak up” on parents, caregivers, and professionals who don’t recognize the subtle indications of them. This course helps participants avoid that trap by learning how to keep a baby’s mouth development “on track” from birth.
