The Adverse Childhood Experiences Study and Its Relevance to Working with Children and Their Families

This training will held in conjunction with an LIC meeting for CFC #18. The LIC meeting will take place from
10:30 - 11 a.m., and this training will take place
from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. on January 26th.

The training will focus on The "Adverse Childhood Experiences" Study, designed by Dr. Vincent Felitti and Dr. Robert Anda. The outcomes of this study and how it resonates with young children and their families
will be reflected upon and discussed. The ACE study reveals a powerful relationship between our emotional experiences as children and our physical and mental health as adults, and participants will have the opportunity to think about their Early Intervention families and how Adverse Childhood Experiences have affected the various families with whom they have worked.
