An Assessment System: The Infant Toddler Developmental Assessment (IDA)

Description

In this session, participants will learn to administer the Infant Toddler Developmental Assessment (IDA), an approved EI tool in the state of Illinois as well as in many other states across the country. The IDA is more than simply a test of a young child’s development. The IDA is a series of phases that when synthesized together help to create a full picture of a child in the context of family, health, and developmental variables, and seeks to embrace the complexity of a child’s development. In this two day workshop, participants will learn the six phases of the IDA with emphasis on learning to conduct the Provence Profile, which is the developmental assessment phase of the IDA. A popular workshop, this workshop often inspires lively discussion regarding early intervention systems, best practices, and other topics and issues currently debated in the field of early intervention.
