Description |
This course presents the foundation or “nuts and bolts” necessary for clinicians to understand the medical, psychosocial, sensory and motor factors influencing feeding development. PCDA’s
interdisciplinary team will present the essential components of assessment and treatment to support advancing mealtime independence, weight gain and growth, and supporting pleasurable
mealtime participation. Video case studies and modified barium swallow studies will be utilized in discussion of common feeding concerns such as oral feeding safety, selective eating, oral aversion,
and difficulty with texture progression.
