"Prenatal and Environmental Exposure to Methamphetamine and Other Drugs"

Description

The increased and continued prevalence of methamphetamine and other drug use, puts our most vulnerable children at great risk. The program will address why methamphetamine use is more common in rural areas, and discuss the impact of parental use on the developing fetus, as well as discuss the impact of environmental exposure to drugs on development, including learning, behavior and health issues. Trauma informed theory will be introduced and strategies will be discussed.
