The Ins and Outs of DTH Services

Description

Hearing loss is considered a low-incidence disability and, therefore, makes up only a small portion of a service coordinator's or therapist's caseload. This presentation will address available services for deaf/hard of hearing children and their families in Early Intervention in the state of Illinois. Understanding the role of the Developmental Therapist/Hearing (DTH) as well as when and how to access a DTH is critical in order to efficiently provide families with services that are directly related to their child's diagnosis. Opportunities for questions and case review will allow participants to make the information immediately applicable to their work with families.
