| Description |
Meaningful IFSP meetings occur when the team focuses on the priorities that families and other caregivers have within their day-to-day routines. The information gathered at intake and throughout the evaluation and assessment processes can help to guide our work with families to develop functional IFSP outcomes, as well as, measure the three child outcomes. The Routines Based Interview and the ASQ-SE, conducted during intake, provide evaluators insight into the day-to-day life of the family as well as the family's strengths, concerns, and priorities. By partnering with families, we can assist in creating plans that support the child and family in the context of the life their family lives.
In this session, video, discussion, and small group activities are used to explore how authentic assessment practices can positively impact the IFSP functional outcome planning process.
