Feeding Therapy: Case Studies and Problem Solving

Description

Participants must have completed Feeding Therapy: Its Not Just About Swallowing prior to attending this course.

In Day One, we laid the foundation for understanding the four foundations for eating, how to keep the fun in feeding using ABA principles, ideas for school and community and how to teach families the fundamentals of parenting in the kitchen. Day TWO focuses on specific case studies from evaluation, to treatment, to discharge and then problem solving "roadblocks" as they come up in treatment. Specifics on developing goals/objectives will be addressed. In addition, Melanie will demonstrate ideas for increasing strength and stability of the oral motor structure.

Course participants will receive a download card for Melanie Potock's award-winning children's music CD titled Dancing in the Kitchen: Songs that Celebrate the Joy of Food!
