Divorce, Separation and Custody - Working with Parents in Early Intervention While Navigating Legal Issues

Description

Service Coordinators encounter many challenging situations in the field. One such situation is how to support families during separation, divorce and custody related issues while their child is enrolled in the Illinois Early Intervention System. This two hour workshop will cover legal issues, policies and procedures related to consent and information sharing, discussion of parental rights and early intervention principles related to family involvement and participation in their child's supports and services.
