Get Up and Get Moving

Description

This session investigates the medical benefits, with research based evidence, to show the long term cost and health savings of a successful standing and gait training program, for children with disabilities, starting at the normal stage of development. With instruction in choosing the correct standing or gait training device and the resources provided by NCART for the successful acquisition of funding and the appeal process to acquire the device to best facilitate a successful program.
