Routines Based Intervention What does it really mean, and how can I do it?

Description

There has been a lot of talk lately in Early Intervention on embedding intervention into family routines. Service Coordinators are gathering detailed information about family routines using the Routines Based Interview. How can you, as a provider best use that information to plan intervention that is meaningful to the family and gets at the core skills that you identify as needs for the child? Participants will discuss how to design a plan of intervention prioritizing the family’s needs and building intervention strategies into the family’s day to day life. Participants will hear how using routines based intervention can increase family engagement and help to create parent-professional partnerships.
