The objectives to this workshop are that attendees will be able to:
1.) Learn the definition of trauma
2.) Identify the frequency of trauma in life.
3.) Identify the consequences of traumatic events on physical health, cognition, emotions, and behavior.
4.) Identify the mediating factors that help us cope with traumatic events.
5.) Identify how complex trauma effects development in children.
6.) Learn at least four interventions to use with traumatized individuals.
7.) Identify at least one indication of “burn out” when working with victims of trauma.
