WS 405. Occupational Therapy Using a Predominantly Sensory Integrative Frame of Reference: Evaluation Through Discharge

Description

This session will focus on the therapy process from evaluation to discharge. Evaluation, goal setting, service delivery options, treatment approaches, home programming, and discharge planning will be discussed as integral steps in the process. Discussion will include current best practice as well as practical adaptations for busy work environments.

Learning Objective One: : identify options for evaluating children with developmental disabilities including assessing occupational performance, sensory & motor skills and body function as well as family’s needs and priorities.

Learning Objective Two: identify the benefits and challenges of several different services delivery models.

Learning Objective Three: : identify ways to more effectively incorporate clinical reasoning intervention review into the therapy process in their work setting.
