Using Infant Mental Health Practices to Promote Wellness and Reduce Disparities

Description

1. Participants will be able to describe 5 core practices that promote wellness of infants and families and push back against health disparities and poor social outcomes.

2. Participants will be able to demonstrate in layman’s term an ‘elevator speech’ that summarizes key findings related to the science and importance of how early relationships are a protective factor against forces of risk.

3. Participants will be able to provide examples of how social emotional wellness is linked to positive outcomes, such as, physical health, school success, and resilience.

4. By conclusion of this activity participants will be able to explain examples of how these core principles might be infused into their own work across disciplines and systems
