This treatment packed, one-day course will focus on management of tube-fed infants and children with dysphagia, severe feeding aversion, poor weight gain and failure to thrive. Course will focus on when to place a feeding tube, how to build strong repertoire of feeding and swallowing skills and what team members are needed to safely transition to oral feeding. The complexity of biobehavioral oral motor sensory feeding disorders and tube feeding regimens will be presented via in depth case studies. The Graz method as well as other methods of tube weaning will be discussed as treatment options. Non-oral feeding groups will be presented as a treatment program providing support and encouragement for the family. Multidisciplinary treatment programs will be discussed for partial to full tube weaning.
