Treatment of the Infant/Toddler: 12 months-24 months

Description

This course is designed to enhance the problem solving skills of therapists working with infants/toddlers, 12-24 months, who have atypical or delayed sensory and motor development.  The purpose of this course is to advance the therapist’s assessment, treatment planning, handling and clinical decision making skills in the areas of motor and postural control, gross motor and transition, upper extremity, hand, visual and play skills.  The goal is to provide clinically relevant strategies which can be applied immediately upon return to a clinic setting. Lecture, lab, problem solving and video learning tools will be utilized. 
The first day will focus on the 12-17 month age range.  The second day will focus on the 18-24 month age range.
