"I can't believe she said that..." or "why did the family drop me" are all to common comments made by Early Interventionist in the field. Why is helping so challenging? Early intervention is a relationship-based program with the goal of supporting families in the natural environment it can challenging even with the best intentions. This training will explore how to develop and maintain a professional relationship with families and professionals in early intervention. This training will review some of the common pitfalls in Early Intervention and we will be reviewing ways to support families, so they can advocate for themselves in Early Intervention and beyond.
