Making Sense of Challenging Behaviors for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders: A workshop for parents, teachers, therapists and caregivers.

Description

This workshop is designed to help parents, therapists, teachers and caregivers develop an understanding of the importance of why behaviors occur and how they can react to aggressive behaviors. We will discuss problem-solving situations and identify some preventative strategies. We will review aspects of Social Thinking, Behavioral Modification and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Participants will come away with clear strategies towards the prevention of behavior, ways to de-escalate a crisis situation and directions on how to collect data for the purpose of preventing challenging behaviors.
