By understanding self-advocacy, you will learn strategies on when, where, and how to advocate for children, so they receive the services and supports they need to be successful. Collaborating with other parents will create a family support network which will connect families together. This in turn will allow families to learn additional navigation skills, as well as how they can effect change on a local, regional, and state level.
