PIAT Conference-Theraplay with Young Children: A Theraplay Case Study

Description

Theraplay is a model of treatment based on healthy infant-parent interactions and is an ideal method of working with young children exhibiting a variety of issues. This workshop will show the assessment and treatment progression of a very young child who experienced early deprivation and trauma leading to severe regulatory problems. Additional topics discussed will include working with parents in Theraplay and practical suggestions when conducting in-home Theraplay sessions.
