Description |
This 2-day intermediate level course has been designed for professionals who are currently providing services for infants and children with feeding and swallowing problems. Emphasis will be placed on the development of functional
outcomes for feeding and swallowing treatment based upon the analysis of clinical and radiologic findings using the World Health Organization’s International Classification of Functioning,
Disability, and Health (ICF) model. Pediatric
Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS) will be utilized to illustrate and document oral,
pharyngeal, and esophageal activities that
negatively impact on swallowing function. Case presentations and group discussion will be used extensively.
