Each Day is a New Beginning for Infants, Toddlers and Their Families

Description

At the heart of our work with infants, toddlers and their families is the excitement of knowing that each day offers new opportunities to strengthen connections, as young children begin to discover the world around them. The 2014 Conference focuses on the essential components of our relationships with infants and toddlers. Because our work profoundly impacts the lives of those in our care, we need to be mindful of how we guide them - and how we foster everyday learning opportunities.
The 2014 Conference is centered on the following:
• The importance of our role in the lives of infants and toddlers, and together with their families profoundly impacts how they begin to learn about the world.
• Focus on the essence of the relationship that we have each day with our youngest children. Since each day is a new beginning, we need to be mindful of the everyday moments of learning through routines, transitions and the adult relationships that help children through them.
• Clarity on the importance of the relationships that we build with families, and the significance of the continuity of relationships with infants and toddlers.
