From Circle Dances to Free Dances:
How to Create and Lead Large Movement

Ever wish you could design movement experiences for your classes that are easy to follow, yet still inspired and interesting? Do you sometimes feel like you just recycle the same sequence of movements for song after song? Do you need to jazz up your rhythm and movement repertoire? Come join us for a morning of movement exploration and experimentation. We’ll work on expanding your movement vocabulary, creating and designing rhythmic experiences and enhancing your movement leading skills.

Using songs from the Sticks collection, we’ll practice rhythm patterns in all meters, explore a variety of large movement activities, and we’ll try our hand at some lightly choreographed pieces. This workshop is extremely interactive and is designed for teachers with all levels of experience. Come ready to learn and have fun!
