Participants will:
- Learn about the process young children go through as they learn their second language
- Discuss and explore the different stages of second language acquisition and how this process differs from first language acquisition
- Learn what the most effective instructional strategies and assessment practices are to support dual language learners
- Investigate how and why dual language children home language is an essential resource
- Discuss and learn ideas to help engage families of dual language learners
