Description |
Advocate Children's Hospital (Oak Lawn Campus) Pediatric Rehabilitation and Development Department presents "Highlighting Pediatric Therapy and Developmental Services", a symposium to enhance the understanding of clinical conditions and improve developmental outcomes for pediatric patients. Lecture-based topics of this course include: speech and language delays associated with temporary or permanent hearing loss, the role of physical therapy in the treatment of ALL and other childhood cancers, pediatric traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, developmental care of congenital heart disease, aging with a childhood disability- what pediatric clinicians should know, and educational resources for children- transitioning from hospital to home and school.
