Illinois Early Intervention Learning Cohort

Description A unique learning opportunity open to early interventionists of all disciplines, including service coordinators, this cohort groups the sessions of the IL Early Intervention Training Program's three Series.

This 12-session cohort consists of the four sessions of the Foundational Institute that challenges participants to look deeper into the key principles that guide best practices in early intervention; the four sessions of the Infant/Toddler Assessment Institute designed to enhance participants' knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices to better obtain assessment information that more accurately portrays a child's true abilities; and the four sessions of Baby Steps and Building Blocks, the Infant/Toddler Development Institute that is an excellent refresher of infant/toddler development designed to support participants' ability to emplement developmentally appropriate practices in their day-to-day work in early intervention.

Each 4-session Institute Series is offered separately; however, taken as a Cohort, participants are afforded the opportunity to build upon their knowledge and experience, network and share ideas, and create the foundation to foster stronger and more meaningful communities of practice over the course of this extended learning experience.
