Understanding Parent-Infant Attachment: How do we support it in our work with families?

Description

Understanding parent-infant attachment can seem complex. What makes healthy interactions or unhealthy ones and why do they matter? Through video-tapped interactions we will observe parents and young children and the attachment styles and better understand the impact of the early relationship development and how EI professionals can support healthy development. We will explore and discuss approaches to working with families that can help build healthy attachment relationships for the parent and child.
