Individual Family Service Plans are More than Paper. How to Develop, Use, and Review IFSPs

Description

The Individual Service Plan is a living document, which documents and guides the team for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities. It contains key components about both the child and family and list the services and supports necessary to facilitate a child's development and enhance the family's capacity to facilitate the child's development. It is through the IFSP process, family members and service providers work as a team to plan, implement, and evaluate services tailored to the family's unique concerns, priorities, and resources. Why is it that the document tends to be invisible after it is developed? Or why are they not more unique to each child and family. This training will review the current practices and support the understanding best practice in developing, utilizing, and reviewing the IFSP.
