Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, the attendee will identify and attain the following objectives:
1. Identify the overall stages of typical development in all areas of self help: feeding, sleeping, dressing, grooming, toileting
2. Identify the typical development of muscle groups/coordination and cognitive skills required for each stage of self-help skill development
3. Understand compensatory self help skills
4. Understand the importance of each discipline (OT, PT, DT, ST) in facilitating independent self help skills
5. Understand and be familiar with the changes in EI credentialing
