29th Annual Southern Illinois Perinatal Network Conference

Description

This conference is designed to update nurses, obstetricians, pediatricians, family medicine physicians, early intervention providers and other health care providers on current issues in the clinical practice of obstetrics and newborn care. Topics of interest for Early Intervention Providers include: communication styles and strategies, working with families when values collide, understanding infant development, how parent-child interaction affects brain development, impact of teratogens on the developing fetus, effects of mental illness on pregnancy, nuturing parent-child relationships for families at risk, and intergenerational issues in the workplace.
