Overview of the Routines-Based Interview: Using it in my EI practice to support children and families

Description

The RBI was introduced to Early Intervention in July 2012 as part of the family assessment process for Early Intervention. With the use of the RBI at intake, service coordinators gather information about how families plan and build their daily routines. Specifically, the RBI helps to address routines where families and care-givers are looking for support in their child’s development and daily activities.
This seminar will review the RBI and how it is used by service coordinators and families during the intake process. More importantly, this seminar will offer a guided discussion on how providers can use the RBI information gathered during the intake and guide intervention planning for the child and family.
