Rev Up your Motors! Motor Coordination, Motor Memory, Motor Planning & Sensory-Motor

Description

Throughout this presentation, you are invited to 'Rev Up Your Motors!' through participating in a wide variety of developmentally-appropriate sensory-motor activities that are supported by developmentally-appropriate musical settings. We will learn important information about the brain, effects of exercise on the brain, important sensory-integration information, and specific exercises that help even the youngest develop motor pathways and strengthen neurological connections. We will also play music games and experience simple dances that even the youngest of learners, birth to age 3, can do to help ensure future academic success. We'll learn about the powerful vehicles of music and movement to help young children enjoy success as they develop physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally. This day of learning is very OT oriented. Strategies offered in this training can be adapted to the youngest of learners- typical children as well as those with special needs.
