In December 2013, the Bureau of Early Intervention (Bureau) announced the new codes to submit claims to Early Intervention (EI) for Speech Therapy Evaluations. This was to be in compliance with the announcement released by CMS and ASHA regarding the discontinuation of Speech Evaluation CPT Code 92506. (Refer to December 30, 2013 memorandum titled "Additional Speech Therapy Evaluation Code Requirements (pdf) Effective 01/01/14".)
